They'd decided to kill off the ghost. Almost unanimously. Even another ghost had voted for it.
The ghost, for her part, sighed. Didn't they get that this isn't how it works?
Still, she let them lead her up to the gallows, let them struggle to put the rope around her spiritual neck. She made it a little easier for them by willing it to stay.
She didn't really understand why they were all so surprised when nothing happened as the trap door opened beneath her. She was a ghost, she could hover.
She still played along, after a delay, allowing herself to drop slightly.
After a moment of everyone awkwardly staring at this ghost just trying to appease them, she spoke up.
"Are you all happy now? Can we go back to actually trying to decide on what to do? I'm still giving you until the same time, because I can." Snow, Omniscient Ghost, said as she floated sheepishly.

They all awkwardly shuffled off to continue with their daytime routine of glaring at each other suspiciously, waiting for 4pm on Monday.

Round 5 - Day 3
The wind howled through the trees, and the townsfolk shivered in their beds as they slept.
Dugglyn, Doctor shuffled quickly through the night. She peered through the window of one house, and sighed in relief upon realising that her assistance wouldn't be needed tonight. Maybe they'd be okay...
As she started the slow walk back home, a shadow slipped out of the nearby trees and followed her. She didn't realise, too caught up thinking about her caterpillars and the concerning frequency with which her eyes turned to refined beans.
The shadow chuckled as they neared a dead end, sensing their chance.
"You really ought to be more careful, anyone could be following you home at this time of night..."
Dugglyn spun, trying to catch the face of the figure, but a knife was plunged through her heart before she got the chance. Her last thoughts as the figure slipped away was probably something along the lines of "Sheep..."

Not too far away, Alistair, Vampire chuckled as he watched his fellow mafia member carry out the kill. One down, two to go...
He was so engrossed in contemplating his next move that he didn't notice the other figure sidling up beside him until he felt the cool tip of a blade pressing into his side.
"What was that your friend said about being more careful? This is for... well, I'd like to say killing my friend, but I'm a very forgiving person. So we'll just go with... fun. Surely you'd know about killing for fun."
He was going to respond with a witty retort, maybe try and spin around and disarm whoever it was behind him in some genius way, but he never got the chance as the blade pushed though his side and was pulled upwards.
The figured grinned as he dropped to the ground and knelt beside him, knife pushed to his neck.
"Never can be too careful with you Vampires..."

The next morning, when an unlucky town member stumbled across Duggyln's body, everyone was gruesomely surprised to also find Alistair's head nearby. They did not, however, locate his body...

As the day drew to a close, the townspeople glared at each other suspiciously. Who could they trust? Who was on their side? At least one person had openly admitted to being a murderer, but an uneasy alliance had been made there...
Still, was anyone safe?
Unable to come to an agreement about who to hang, the town shuffled off to bed, resigned to their fate. They all knew what came next, all they could do was hope for a miracle.
